about

“Trio Miami”, the third album from internationally acclaimed pianist and composer Martin Bejerano, presents an exciting and emotional set of original and compelling modern jazz. A 19 year veteran of Lifetime Grammy Achievement Award-Winner Roy Hayne’s band, Bejerano has also performed and/or recorded with the likes of Christian McBride, Pat Metheny, Dave Holland, Russell Malone, Ignacio Berroa, Dafnis Prieto, and Jonathan Kreisberg. Featuring both original compositions and creative arrangements of jazz and pop standards, “Trio Miami” is an ode to Bejerano’s hometown of Miami, FL, where he currently resides, heading the jazz piano studio at the Frost School of Music, University of Miami. The album features two of Miami’s hottest up and coming young musicians, Josh Allen (bass) and Michael Piolet (drums), and exemplifies the diversity of musical styles and approaches heard in Miami.
